When you visit the San Joaquin Valley of California and the Sequoia National Park, why settle for a noisy, crowded motel?
Now, you can rent this entire, newly renovated ranch house in the middle of a quiet, family-owned orange grove only 30 minutes from the park entrance!
Your personal retreat, this 8 room home has a full kitchen, washer, dryer,
wireless internet, sunroom, porch and patio. We provide guests with a well-stocked pantry and refrigerator including whatever you want for breakfast (ordered during the reservation process) and a generous supply of fruit in season. Sleeps up to 8 people in three bedrooms, with a hide-a-bed in the living room, two queen size beds, two twins, and two baths.
The BunkhouseA smaller group or a second family may want to rent the Bunkhouse. Renovated in 2007, the Bunhouse has a bath with shower, microwave oven, mini-refrigerator, electric heat and airconditioning.
The Bunkhouse has two rooms, and sleeps four with a queen bed and two stacked bunkbeds.
The other buildings adjacent to the houses are made of native adobe clay by Hugh McKellar, the founder. The sidewalks are made of hand-hewn granite stones carried down from the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and laid by McKellar when he created his ranch home.
Five of the original seven sycamores still shade the property, joined by two newer trees upholding the ranch tradition.
Most of the native plants and trees are identified with signs, and guests are free to wander through the orchards and pick fresh fruit to eat at any time. The area is abundant with wildlife, birds, and flowers. Guests may request a free tour of the citrus groves, including a demonstration of the equipment and packing facilities.
Historic Seven Sycamores Ranch is also an ideal location for outdoor weddings, retreats, class reunions and other large gatherings (Brides-See our wedding planner website.). Guests may rent the Homestead and/or the Bunkhouse for the family of the bride or group planners.
